Monterrey Iron & Metal (MIM) has come a long way since buying its first truck in 1928. The
yard today is efficiently laid out over thirty acres with crew and equipment set up to handle any load. We
have over 400 roll-off boxes, 2 Heavy Reduction Balers, 12 cranes, 8 roll-off trucks, 4 Big Rigs, 45 trailers,
an automobile shredder, five shears (one of which is the largest in the state), and a 70 ft. high capacity
scale. We also have a rail line to the Union Pacific hub running through the yard. Under
construction are a larger shredder and a second high capacity scale. Our 15,000 sq. ft. warehouse facility
is equipped with a digital scale and forklifts to assist unloading. With a full crew of mechanics, welders, machine operators,
truck drivers and managerial staff, Monterrey can handle more material with less down-time. We have over
70 employees who each play an important role in the scrap recycling process. Much of our crew has been
with us for over ten years including two that have been with us for over 55 years.
