Monterrey Iron & Metal (MIM) has come a long way since buying
our first truck in 1928. The yard today is efficiently laid out over thirty acres with crew and equipment
set up to handle any load. We have well over 400 roll-off boxes, 2 Heavy Reduction Balers, 12 cranes, 8
roll-off trucks, 4 Big Rigs, 45 trailers, an automobile shredder, five shears (one of which is the largest in the state),
and two 70 ft. high-capacity scales. We also have a rail line to the Union Pacific hub, which allows us
to ship domestically and internationally via rail. Our 15,000 sq. ft. warehouse facility is equipped with a digital scale
and forklifts to assist unloading. With
a full crew of mechanics, welders, machine operators, truck drivers and managerial staff, Monterrey can handle more material
with less down-time. We have over 80 employees who each play an important role in the scrap recycling process.
Much of our crew has been with us for over ten years including two that have been with us for over 55 years.
We have never laid off staff in tough times.
